Strange Days is a 1995 sci-fi thriller set in the final days of 1999. Ex-cop Lenny Nero, now a street hustler, obtains a disc containing the recorded memories of a murdered prostitute. Partnered with his bodyguard Mace, Nero begins investigating the crime, only to find himself entangled in a dangerous web of murder, blackmail, and conspiracy. As the millennium approaches, the investigation pulls him deeper into a world where virtual reality technology blurs the line between witness and participant. The film explores themes of obsession, corruption, and the dark side of memory itself, set against the backdrop of a decaying Los Angeles on the brink of social collapse.
