The Lynx Returns(1987)

The Lynx Returns is a Soviet adventure film about a wild lynx named Kunak who must survive in the taiga after his longtime companion, an old forester, is killed by poachers. When a new forester named Drozdov arrives, he undertakes a patient mission to rebuild trust with the grieving animal. As Drozdov works to acclimate Kunak to human contact once more, the bond between man and beast becomes central to both their survival in the harsh wilderness. The film explores themes of loyalty, loss, and the delicate relationship between humans and nature, set against the vast Siberian landscape.
