Two Stupid Eggs(2007)

Two Stupid Eggs is a Chinese comedy about a struggling forty-year-old writer named Wenyao who lives in a cramped rental with his wife Xiaoyu, scraping by on meager book sales. Desperate for a break, he decides to adapt his own work into a video and casts actress Meifeng in the lead role. When Meifeng leaks a compromising scene online, Wenyao unexpectedly becomes infamous for the scandal—but the notoriety attracts investors willing to fund his project. He assembles a cast of amateur actors and prepares to shoot. When Xiaoyu discovers the controversy surrounding her husband's newfound "success," she confronts him publicly. Now Wenyao must navigate the chaos of his accidental fame while managing his crumbling marriage and the demands of his newly greenlit film.
