Code 8 is a sci-fi crime thriller set in Lincoln City, where people with superhuman abilities are treated as second-class citizens and monitored by an militarized police force. Connor, a construction worker with telekinetic powers, turns to a criminal gang for quick money to pay for his mother's medical treatment. Desperate and trapped between survival and the law, Connor must navigate a dangerous underworld where his abilities become both his greatest asset and his deepest liability. The film explores themes of inequality and desperation in a near-future society that fears and exploits the gifted. Based on the 2016 short film of the same name, Code 8 blends gritty realism with superhero elements to create a morally complex story about choosing between family and staying on the right side of the law.
