Cronos is a dark fantasy thriller about an elderly antiques dealer who discovers a mysterious mechanical device hidden inside a statue. Built centuries ago by an alchemist seeking immortality, the Cronos machine grants its user youth and vitality—but at a terrible cost. As the dealer becomes increasingly dependent on the device, he finds himself transformed into something inhuman, caught between life and death. His newfound power attracts dangerous attention, pulling him into a violent struggle for possession of the artifact. Director Guillermo del Toro crafts a visceral exploration of vanity and mortality, where the promise of eternal youth becomes a nightmare of body horror and obsession.
