Squirm is a 1976 horror film about a small town under siege by mutated worms. When a violent electrical storm knocks power lines into the saturated ground near Fly Creek, the high voltage transforms an aggressive breed of worms into massive, carnivorous creatures. The enlarged worms emerge from the earth, hungry and hostile, threatening the town's residents. As the infestation spreads, the locals must find a way to survive the relentless attack of these man-eating parasites before the worms consume everything in their path. The film blends creature-feature terror with practical effects that defined 1970s horror cinema.
