The Amazing Spider-Man follows Peter Parker, an outcast high schooler raised by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May after his parents abandoned him. When Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase belonging to his father, he launches an investigation into their disappearance that leads him to Oscorp and Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner. As Peter grapples with newfound spider powers and questions of identity, he's drawn into a dangerous confrontation with Connors' monstrous alter ego, The Lizard. Forced to make life-altering choices, Peter must decide whether to use his abilities for personal gain or embrace his role as a hero. The film balances coming-of-age drama with superhero action as Peter discovers his true purpose.
