Vent(2018)

Vent is a post-apocalyptic film set three years after a catastrophic radiation leak has forced humanity indoors. Rose grows increasingly frustrated with her controlling boyfriend Parker and his refusal to let her venture outside, even with protective gear. Desperate to prove her independence and readiness, she pushes back against his grip on her life, determined to take a gas mask and explore the contaminated world beyond their confined space. The tension between Rose's yearning for freedom and Parker's need for control drives the narrative, exploring themes of autonomy, survival, and the psychological toll of isolation. As Rose's resolve hardens, the couple faces a critical reckoning that will test the limits of their relationship and force both to confront what they're willing to risk for a chance at something more.
