07-Ghost is an anime series set in a world where two empires once held equal power—the Barsburg Empire, guarded by the Eye of Raphael, and the Kingdom of Laggs, protected by the Eye of Michael. A devastating war destroyed Laggs a decade ago. Teito, an amnesiac orphan, trains at Barsburg's military academy alongside his friend Mikage, haunted by fragmented dreams of castle ruins and a bloodied figure warning him of his true purpose. When Teito encounters Staff Chief Ayanami, his suppressed memories surface violently. He realizes Ayanami is the enemy from his nightmares—and that the dying man who spoke to him was his own father. Teito discovers he is the lost prince of the fallen Laggs Empire. He abandons military life to uncover his past and fulfill the mysterious mission his father entrusted to him.
