Man About the House(1973)

Man About the House is a British sitcom that aired on ITV from 1973 to 1976. When two single women, Chrissy and Jo, advertise for a female flatmate to share their London apartment, they instead find themselves living with Robin Tripp, a charming man seeking affordable housing. The arrangement was considered daring for its time, challenging 1970s attitudes about cohabitation. Created by Brian Cooke and Johnnie Mortimer and starring Paula Wilcox, Sally Thomsett, and Richard O'Sullivan, the series became a cultural phenomenon that spawned two successful spin-offs: George and Mildred and Robin's Nest. The show's premise proved so popular it was adapted into a 1974 film and later remade for American television as Three's Company in 1977.
