Out of the Blue(1979)

Out of the Blue is an American fantasy sitcom that aired on ABC in fall 1979. The series follows Random, an angel-in-training assigned to live with a family while working as a high school teacher, played by Jimmy Brogan. Despite a crossover episode with the popular series Mork & Mindy and controversy over its connection to Happy Days, the show struggled to find an audience. It ran for just nine episodes between September and December 1979 before cancellation, with additional completed material never making it to air. The brief run has made Out of the Blue a footnote in late-70s television history, remembered more for its notable guest appearances and behind-the-scenes drama than for its premise.
