I-LAND(2020)

I-LAND is a South Korean boy group survival reality series that premiered on Mnet in June 2020. Produced by Belift Lab—a joint venture between CJ ENM and HYBE—the show follows trainee competitors as they compete for spots in a new idol group. Episodes aired Friday nights, documenting the intense auditions, performances, and eliminations that determine which trainees advance. The series became a launching pad for ENHYPEN, the successful boy band that debuted under the show's label. A second season, I-LAND 2: N/⍺, premiered in April 2024 on Mnet with female trainees competing for debut positions with WakeOne entertainment. The franchise expanded the K-pop survival show format across multiple networks and entertainment companies, establishing itself as a key talent pipeline in the industry.
