The Chord to Victory(1993)

The Chord to Victory follows Tam Kyu Lun, a quick-witted street kid from 1970s Hong Kong, as he befriends the shy Chung Shun To. Together with Peng Yat Kin, Chan Kung Yau, Yip Siu Keung, and Chan Siu Cheung, they form an unbreakable bond through music. When manager Hugo Leung discovers them, the group transforms into the band Winners and rises to stardom. Yet success brings fractures. Romantic entanglements complicate matters—Kyu Lun pursues Yeung Suet Lai while Shun To struggles with Sin Ho Yi—and financial pressures breed jealousy and mistrust. As money threatens to corrode their once-solid friendship, the five musicians must navigate ambition, love, and loyalty to keep their dreams alive.
