Executive Stress(1986)

Executive Stress is a British sitcom that aired on ITV between 1986 and 1988. Written by George Layton and produced by Thames Television, the series follows Caroline Fairchild, a middle-aged woman navigating her return to the workforce. Penelope Keith stars as Caroline, opposite Geoffrey Palmer as her husband Donald in the first series. When Palmer departed, Peter Bowles took over the role for the final two seasons. Keith and Bowles reunited after their previous collaboration on To the Manor Born. The show ran for three series, concluding on 27 December 1988, capturing the comedic tensions between career ambitions and domestic life during the 1980s.
