As Prior's health deteriorates and guilt consumes those around him, a supernatural visitation transforms his suffering into something transcendent. The series weaves together intimate personal struggles with the political and spiritual turmoil of the Reagan era, exploring themes of faith, mortality, and redemption against a backdrop of national crisis.
