Hong Kong Love Stories(2020)

Hong Kong Love Stories is a drama series following designer Chan Tsz-long and his idealist girlfriend Yau Hoi-kei as they navigate the pressures of Hong Kong's housing crisis. After marrying, the couple moves into a cramped subdivided unit, juggling tight living conditions with care for aging parents on both sides. Tsz-long's two sisters chart different paths: photographer Tsz-yan pursues a bohemian lifestyle with artist Ki Ka-hei, while college-bound Tsz-ting takes a pragmatic approach to love. Despite their struggles, Tsz-long and Hoi-kei remain determined to save for their own home. When they finally achieve their property dream, the couple discovers that ownership has strained their relationship in unexpected ways. The series examines how material ambitions can erode intimacy, exploring the tensions between love and survival in modern Hong Kong.
