Potong follows Midon, a man who inherits his late father's role as a traditional circumciser, or Tok Mudim. When a modern clinic opens nearby and begins offering the same procedure, Midon finds himself caught between two worlds. The series explores the tension between old and new as traditional practice clashes with contemporary medicine. Midon must navigate changing attitudes toward his craft while competing with a facility equipped with modern technology and professional credentials. Set against the backdrop of Malaysian culture, Potong examines what it means to preserve heritage in an era of rapid modernization, touching on themes of family legacy, professional identity, and community values.
