Desmond's is a British sitcom that aired on Channel 4 from 1989 to 1994, becoming the channel's longest-running comedy series with 71 episodes. Set in a Peckham barbershop, the show follows Desmond Ambrose, played by Norman Beaton, as his shop becomes a vibrant hub for local characters and community life. Created by Trix Worrell and produced by Charlie Hanson and Humphrey Barclay, Desmond's featured a predominantly Black British Guyanese cast and offered warm, character-driven humour rooted in everyday life.
