Rue des Pignons(1966)

Rue des Pignons is a French-Canadian television series that aired from 1966 to 1977, following the daily lives and interactions of residents on a single street. The show became a staple of Quebec television during its run, though most episodes have been lost to time. Radio-Canada has managed to preserve only about 35 of the original 427 episodes. Composer Pierre Brabant created the program's memorable theme song and contributed much of the series' background music, helping establish its distinctive sonic identity. Despite its cultural significance in Canadian television history, Rue des Pignons remains largely inaccessible to modern audiences, making the surviving episodes valuable artifacts of mid-century Quebec broadcasting.
