Eurosong(1956)

Eurosong was the Flemish selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest, held every two years to choose Belgium's official entry. The competition ran until 2008, when the VRT broadcasting organization decided to discontinue the format. The shift came after Tom Dice achieved strong results at Eurovision 2010 through internal selection rather than the traditional public competition. His success prompted the network to abandon Eurosong in favor of direct artist appointments for future contests.
