Alcanzar una estrella(1990)

Alcanzar una estrella is a Mexican telenovela that premiered on Canal de las Estrellas in 1990. The series follows a shy girl's crush on her teen idol, blending romance with the glamour of the entertainment world. Starring singers Mariana Garza and Eduardo Capetillo—both former members of the pop band Timbiriche—the show became a regional phenomenon, airing across Latin America and on Univision in the United States. Garza and Capetillo performed the theme songs, composed by Ricardo Arjona, who also appeared in the cast alongside other musicians. The telenovela's popularity spawned a film sequel, Más que alcanzar una estrella, and a follow-up series featuring Sasha Sokol and Ricky Martin. The show was later adapted for American television as Hollywood Heights on Nickelodeon in 2012. Producer Luis de Llano and writer Rita Macedo created the series, marking Macedo's final acting credit.
