Bootleg(2002)

Bootleg is a children's series based on Alex Shearer's novel about two resourceful kids fighting back against an absurd new law. When a political party called the "Good for You" seizes power and bans chocolate nationwide, friends Smudger Moore and Huntley Hunter refuse to accept a world without their favorite treat. They start small, running an underground bootleg chocolate operation, but their rebellious enterprise soon connects them to a larger resistance movement determined to overthrow the ban. Part adventure, part satire, the series follows these unlikely rebels as they navigate danger, friendship, and the lengths people will go to protect the things they love.
