Follyfoot(1971)

Follyfoot is a British children's series that aired from 1971 to 1973, following a young girl's life at a horse sanctuary. Co-produced by Yorkshire Television and West German company TV Munich, the show starred Gillian Blake and featured notable guest appearances from Desmond Llewelyn and Arthur English. Directors including Jack Cardiff, Stephen Frears, Michael Apted and David Hemmings brought the stories to life. The series was inspired by Monica Dickens' 1963 novel Cobbler's Dream, and Dickens went on to write four companion books based on the show: Follyfoot, Dora at Follyfoot, The Horses of Follyfoot, and Stranger at Follyfoot. The show proved popular enough to be repeated for two years after its initial run and again in the late 1980s, becoming a nostalgic favourite for British viewers who grew up with its blend of family drama and animal care themes.
