Heritage(2022)

Heritage is a science fiction series set in a post-apocalyptic future where genetic diversity has nearly vanished and humanity faces extinction. To save the species, the Heritage program is launched under the leadership of bioengineers Alexander and Elizabeth Gordeev and geneticist Peter Sergeevich. A team of scientists enters cryogenic sleep for a century, planning to awaken and nurture healthy embryos that will repopulate Earth. When they finally emerge, however, the first generation of genetically engineered humans—humanity's last hope—proves far more complex and unpredictable than anyone anticipated. The series explores the collision between scientific ambition and the unforeseen consequences of playing god with human life.
