Maria Esperança(2007)

Maria Esperança is a Brazilian telenovela that aired on SBT from March to August 2007, starring Bárbara Paz and Ricardo Ramory. The series adapts the Mexican telenovela María Mercedes, following Maria, a street flower seller who meets Eduardo, a wealthy man who marries her to protect his inheritance from greedy relatives. When Eduardo dies, Maria inherits his fortune and must defend herself against those determined to steal it from her. Caught in a web of family secrets and betrayals, she navigates wealth and power for the first time while discovering love and finding the strength to fight for her own happiness.
