Friday Night, Saturday Morning is a British television chat show that aired on BBC2 from 1979 to 1982, broadcast live from the Greenwood Theatre at Guy's Hospital. The series featured a rotating host every fortnight, with each presenter selecting their own guests—a format that was unusual for the time. The show is remembered chiefly for two reasons: it became the only television programme ever hosted by a former British Prime Minister, and it featured a heated on-air debate about blasphemy accusations surrounding Monty Python's Life of Brian. Created by Iain Johnstone and Will Wyatt, the programme's revolving-door approach to hosting gave it a distinctive character and brought fresh perspectives to late-night conversation television.
