Abe Burrows' Almanac(1950)

Abe Burrows' Almanac is an American variety series that aired on CBS in 1950. Hosted by Abe Burrows, the live Wednesday-night program mixed music, comedy, and guest performances, with Milton DeLugg conducting the orchestra. Though Burrows had built a successful nightclub career and appeared regularly on CBS radio, Abe Burrows' Almanac marked his only starring television role. The show was broadcast at 9:00 PM and proved short-lived, but remains a snapshot of early 1950s live television variety entertainment.
