Kommissionen is a Swedish television series that unfolds across twelve episodes following a devastating terrorist attack on Stockholm's government buildings. The attack destroys Rosenbad, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and much of the Riksdag, leaving the nation grappling with political upheaval and far-reaching consequences. Set in and around Sweden's capital, the series explores how the attack reshapes the political landscape and affects those caught in its aftermath. Shot in 2004 and initially scheduled for spring 2005, Kommissionen was delayed until autumn before its release. The series launched simultaneously across television, DVD, and as a published book, making it a multimedia event in Swedish media.
