Keijirō Engawa Nikki is a Japanese historical drama set in early 1800s Japan. After his daughter Michiyo dies in a tragic accident on the eve of her wedding, merchant Keijirō Moriguchi adopts her intended husband, Konosuke, to preserve the family line. Three years later, Keijirō transfers his estate to Konosuke and steps away from his former life. He relocates to a modest dormitory in Negishi Village, where he works as a manager while his new wife Satsuki joins him. The series follows Keijirō's quiet journey toward healing and redemption as he builds an unexpected second life away from the weight of his grief and family obligations.
