Tá tajovská voda mútna(1987)

Tá tajovská voda mútna is a three-part Slovak television series that explores the formative years of literary giant Jozef Gregor Tajovský. Born in the village of Tajov in 1874, Tajovský spent his childhood with his grandparents in his native region, an experience he later described as the most beautiful period of his life. The series traces his early years before he became a celebrated prose writer and playwright, following his education from elementary school in Tajov through grammar school in Banská Bystrica and teacher training in Kláštor pod Znievom. Deeply rooted in the landscapes and communities of central Slovakia—including the villages of Pohorelá, Lopej, Horná Lehota, and Podlavice—the production captures how these formative experiences shaped the man who would return to Tajov throughout his life until his death in Bratislava in 1940.
