Marude Dameo is a Japanese anime series following Dameo Marude, an unlucky elementary school boy who fails at nearly everything he attempts. His unlikely companion is Borot, a capable robot skilled at housekeeping who helps him navigate daily mishaps. Originally serialized as a manga by Kenji Morita in Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1964 to 1967, the story found new life through two anime adaptations. Toei Animation's version aired on Nippon Television from 1966 to 1967 across 52 episodes, while Studio Pierrot produced a second series that ran on Fuji Television from 1991 to 1992 with 47 episodes.
