The Winner is a political drama following Viktor Hudák, a retiring Prime Minister of a small European nation who discovers that stepping down from power carries unexpected consequences. When his successor dismantles the policies Hudák spent decades constructing, he confronts a harsh reality: former leaders hold little influence over their legacy. As Hudák attempts to reclaim relevance in civilian life, the series explores the cost of ambition, the fragility of political achievement, and what happens when those accustomed to power must learn to live without it. The show examines themes of ego, obsolescence, and the struggle to find purpose beyond the corridors of government.
