Pigmalião 70(1970)

Pigmalião 70 is a Brazilian soap opera following Nando, a humble fruit vendor whose life transforms when he meets Cristina Guimarães, a wealthy widow who owns a beauty salon. Cristina takes it upon herself to teach Nando the ways of high society, initially to win a wager with friends. But as she coaches him in manners and refinement, genuine feelings develop between them. The problem: Nando is already engaged to Candinha. Set against the backdrop of 1970s Brazil, the series explores class differences, ambition, and unexpected romance as Nando navigates his new world while caught between two women and two vastly different lives.
