The Rally is a Danish documentary series that follows a group of sailors and Viking experts on a 5,000-kilometre voyage across the North Atlantic. Retracing the legendary routes of Norse explorers, the crew experiences the perilous conditions that shaped Viking expansion and transformed the medieval world. Archaeologist Jeanette Varberg guides viewers through the history of Viking raids, conquests, and discoveries, while chef Nikolaj Kirk recreates the authentic meals that sustained these seafarers. Part historical investigation, part experiential adventure, The Rally combines scholarly insight with hands-on exploration to reveal how the Vikings navigated treacherous waters and established settlements across distant lands.
