Historian Hans Goedkoop, himself of Dutch-Indonesian heritage, interviews first, second, and third-generation Dutch-Indonesians about their experiences and perspectives on this shared history. The series gives voice to a community often sidelined in mainstream historical discourse, allowing participants to reflect on identity, belonging, and the lasting impact of colonial rule. Through intimate conversations, The Indonesian Reckoning examines how the past continues to shape the present for those caught between two cultures and nations.
