Chelyuskin. First is a historical drama series set in February 1934, when Soviet polar explorers attempt an unprecedented journey along the Northern Sea Route aboard the steamer Chelyuskin. Led by the ambitious Otto Schmidt, the crew believes they can complete the passage in a single navigation season—a feat many consider impossible and reckless. Their bold venture becomes a desperate struggle for survival when the ship becomes trapped in Arctic ice and sinks.
