Outsource(2025)

Outsource is a Russian drama series set in the mid-1990s that follows Kostya, a new employee at a special-purpose prison tasked with carrying out death sentences. When Kostya meets the father of one of the victims, his perspective on justice shifts dramatically. He becomes convinced that the families of victims should have the right to execute their loved ones' killers—and that such work could be lucrative. After a mother offers him an extraordinary sum to murder her daughter's rapist, Kostya finds himself caught between the prison system's authority and the prospect of private, extrajudicial revenge. The series explores the moral complexities of punishment, justice, and the dangerous line between institutional duty and personal profit.
