The Debt(2017)

The Debt is a Russian comedy series following Igor Dugin, a ruthless debt collector with a perfect track record of recovering borrowed money. When colleague Anton bets that Igor can't extract payment from hopeless debtor Lopatkin, an impoverished artist, Igor accepts the challenge. He quickly identifies Lopatkin's most valuable asset—an antique precious ring—only to discover the artist has swallowed it whole. Forced to wait for the ring to pass naturally through Lopatkin's system, Igor becomes an unwilling guardian to his target, abandoning his personal life in the process. What begins as a simple collection job spirals into an absurd situation that tests Igor's patience and professionalism, blending dark humor with the complications of an impossible bet.
