Comic Party(2001)

Comic Party is a series about Kazuki, a high school student drawn into the world of fan comics by his persuasive friend Taishi. When Taishi convinces Kazuki to create his own manga for the upcoming convention, his best friend Mizuki—who despises the chaos of comic fairs—strongly objects. As Kazuki pours himself into meeting his deadline, his grades slip and tension with Mizuki deepens. The series follows Kazuki's struggle to balance his newfound passion for comics with the relationships and responsibilities he's neglecting, capturing both the excitement and isolation that can come from pursuing an all-consuming creative hobby.
