La Course Destination Monde(1988)

La Course Destination Monde is a Canadian reality television series that aired on Télévision de Radio-Canada from 1988 to 1999. The show sent young Quebec filmmakers around the world to create short films about their travels, with judges awarding prizes to the best work each season. The series began in 1988 as La Course des Amériques, focusing on North and South American destinations. Subsequent seasons expanded geographically: the second season added African locations, the third covered Europe and Asia, and from the fourth season onward, filmmakers could travel anywhere globally. La Course Destination Monde became a launching pad for emerging talent, combining documentary storytelling with competitive filmmaking in an innovative format that celebrated both craft and adventure.
