Dood Spoor is a Dutch series following Ed Bex, a man whose eating disorder grants him an unusual ability: when food touches his lips, he witnesses its entire history. Ed channels this gift into a peculiar profession, helping grieving families reconstruct the final moments of their loved ones through "The Last Greeting." When Inspector Adams requests his assistance with a body discovered in an airtight bag, Ed faces a moral crossroads. Reluctant to deploy his power in a murder investigation, he eventually agrees—only to find himself caught between absurd circumstances, personal turmoil, and mounting guilt. The series blends dark comedy with psychological tension as Ed navigates the ethical weight of his supernatural talent and the messy realities of death.
