Brave the Sea follows young Moken people in the Surin Islands of Phang-Nga, Thailand, as they navigate life between tradition and discovery. When eighteen-year-old Ka-e retrieves a camera from the sea floor, he unknowingly sets in motion a chain of events that threatens his community.
