De pestbril is a Belgian children's series that uses virtual reality to confront young viewers with the realities of bullying. Four children don the VR headsets and experience simulated bullying scenarios, recreated by actors but grounded in real incidents. After each immersive encounter, they discuss what they witnessed with Ketnet presenter Sarah Mouhamou, joined by the child who actually lived through the bullying. The series aims to build empathy and encourage intervention, showing children that standing up to bullying matters. By stepping into the shoes of victims, participants gain insight into the emotional toll of peer harassment and the power of speaking up.
