This Thriving Land is a Chinese historical drama following Ning Xiuxiu, daughter of a wealthy village patriarch, who is kidnapped by bandits on her wedding day. When her father refuses to pay ransom and marries her sister to her intended instead, Xiuxiu defies her family and marries a farmer, discovering genuine purpose in rural life and community bonds.
