Paraíso(1982)

Paraíso is a Brazilian telenovela set in the countryside, following the turbulent romance between José Eleutério, a cowboy known as the "Devil's Son," and Maria Rita, called "Santinha." Local legend claims Eleutério's father owns a bottle containing a small devil that grants supernatural powers—though it's merely a Rio souvenir the villagers have mythologized. Maria Rita is equally shrouded in rumor, said to have performed miracles as a child. Their love story unfolds amid a bitter political feud between their fathers, Eleutério and Antero.
