Das sündige Mädchen is a German drama series set in late-1970s Munich. Eighteen-year-old Annemarie Ostermeier, a girl from the working-class district of Giesing, dreams of escaping her provincial surroundings and becoming famous. When photographer Claus discovers her at a nightclub beauty contest and gets her pictures published in Playboy, she transforms overnight into the glamorous stage persona Angela Winter. The sudden fame and freedom intoxicate her, but the lifestyle quickly spirals into debt and drug addiction, pulling her deeper into the adult film industry. What begins as an escape from small-mindedness becomes a desperate struggle for survival and genuine connection, leading Annemarie to the brink of self-destruction.
