Drunkard Morning(2025)

Drunkard Morning is an Iranian drama set in old Tehran, following Mahboobeh, a noblewoman who defies her family's expectations by falling in love with Rahim, a carpenter's apprentice from her neighborhood. Rejecting wealthy suitors and standing firm against her family's wishes, Mahboobeh fights for recognition of their relationship and the chance to marry for love. Yet as time unfolds, the couple discovers that fate rarely bends to human desire. The film explores themes of class conflict, family duty, and the painful gap between romantic hope and harsh reality in early twentieth-century Iran.
