Cashier is a Russian series set in 2013 that follows Lyosha, a young programmer whose dreams of a tech career are upended when his family relocates to a remote town in the Far East. Just as Lyosha prepares for an internship in China to work on his cryptocurrency trading application, his father Mikhail arrives with plans to start a new business. Stranded in an isolated community far from the digital world he craves, Lyosha must navigate the gap between his ambitions and the reality of small-town life.
