The Stew of Life(2009)

The Stew of Life is a Hong Kong series that follows LO SIU LAI, a cookery teacher navigating unexpected upheaval in her family and marriage. When she returns home to discover her daughter cohabiting with a colleague and her sister caught in a romantic entanglement, Siu Lai's world shifts further as her husband NG MAN TAK is forced into early retirement. While Siu Lai lands an opportunity to host a culinary television show, Tak struggles with idleness at home, and tension between them escalates into constant bickering. Rather than let frustration consume her, Siu Lai approaches each challenge with patience and dedication—qualities Tak fails to appreciate.
