Return(1987)

Return is a Russian drama following Sergey Mikhailovich Sorokin, who returns to his native village with plans to sell his house. Upon reconnecting with old neighbors and friends, he discovers how their lives have unfolded in his absence. The encounters stir something in him—a longing for home that runs deeper than he expected. Rather than complete the sale, Sergey Mikhailovich chooses to stay, taking work at the local state farm. What begins as a practical visit transforms into a genuine homecoming, as he commits to rebuilding his life in the place he once left behind.
